I started coding in 2020, during the pandemic, with free courses and a lot of stubbornness. My first real React project took three days and about three hours of sleep. A few months later I joined Plac-D as a frontend developer, building websites and product features for a recruitment platform.

Since 2023 I've been at Athena CRM, working on a CRM that recruitment agencies run their business on: candidate and job pipelines, placements, meetings, email, notes, permissions. I like the unglamorous parts. A modal that jumps, a table that scrolls twice, a permission the interface forgets to enforce: those are the things users feel, so those are the things I fix.

I work in small, clearly scoped changes and review as much as I write. When something needs replacing across the product, I move it one screen at a time rather than in one risky leap.

In 2024 I went back to university for economics. Building tools for hiring made me curious about the systems underneath: labour markets, incentives, how decisions get made from imperfect data.

Outside work I learn by building small things in languages I don't use daily: a macOS menu-bar app in Swift, an API in Go, a CLI in Rust.
